Many industrialists and businessmen in Jharsguda district are under mental pressure now as the State Government has decided to take back unutilised lands from them.
The Government has given lands to a number of corporate house owners at subsidised rates for setting up projects approved through the single window system. But they have not started any business on the plots allotted to them since long. The Government has now decided to take back all lands given on lease basis if they are not utilised on time for the purposes they were given. The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed all district Collectors in this regard through an official communiqué.
The letter warned that the lands remaining idle and untilised for three years after allotment may be taken back according the Modified OGlS Act 2013. After this letter, the industrialists and owners of business houses and factories are under great mental pressure.
