Jharsuguda Town Congress condemned the ruling BJD Government’s effort to tarnish the image of local MlA Naba Kisore Das.
The Congress members said that since Das is being seen as a threat for exposing the mining scam, he was targeted. Similarly he was also targeted for his insistence to discuss the issue of farmer suicide in the Assembly.
Besides, they dared the BJD to undertake a probe into the issue and unravel the truth.
Addressing media, Town Congress president Bharat Awasthi said that there have been numerous instances when porn sites pop up during opening of some website including that of Indian Railways. There has been news in the media on the matter which led to blocking of some sites. But unfortunately when the State Government is making tall claims about promoting IT in the State, it is unaware about the way internet and websites behave, he charged.
Hailing the popularity and development activities undertaken by Das in Jharsuguda Assembly segment, Awasthi said that BJD is desperate to win Jharsuguda but said that such a sinister design would not work as people know Das and the good work he has done as an MlA.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Renaka Kanshrali, senior leaders Ashok Mishra, Sidharth Sarkar and Raghunandan Padhi were present.
