The annual Jagatsinghpur Zilla Mahotsav, Kallola-2015, concluded amidst much fanfare at district headquarters here on Sunday night. The five-day annual carnival, organised by the District Council of Culture, was witness by thousands of people. Excise Minister Damodar Rout and Culture Minister Ashok Panda, accompanied by MlAs Rajashree Mallick and Chiranjib Biswal and Zilla Parishad Chairman DD Mohanty attended valedictory ceremony. District Collector SK Mallick chaired the event.
Minister Panda assured that the Culture Department would take appropriate steps to declare Dhartanggada and Siali as two tourist destinations of the district. Besides, funds would be provided to accelerate the incomplete Sanskruti Bhawan building, he added.
Minister Rout exhorted political parties and people of Jagatsinghpur to come together to work for the development of the district and protect its dignity and integrity. He also unveiled a souvenir Adipatra on the occasion.
