The body of a youth, Babuli Mallick, of Baulanga village in the Kujang area, who died in Tamil Nadu three days ago, reached his village on Friday.
Reports said Mallick while working in Tamil Nadu was staying with friends in a rental house there.
On Tuesday wee hours, he was found dead in mysterious circumstances. Police seized the body for postmortem and then handed it over to the deceased’s friends, who brought the body from Tamil Nadu.
Mallick’s family had earlier lodged an FIR at the Kujang police station suspecting the circumstances of his death. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating the case.
The postmortem report is yet awaited, informed the deceased’s friends Chandan Mallick and Sachitra Mallick.
