Working journalists of Jagatsinghpur district headquarters felicitated newly-appointed Information and Public Relations Minister Raghunadan Das, who belongs to the district, at a programme here on Thursday.
They submitted a memorandum before the Minister, seeking legal protection to journalists and pension scheme for journalists over the age of 60.
Minister assured that the demands would be patently considered at the Government level and needful action would be taken. The Minister expressed his happiness for being felicitated by the journalists.
