An ‘India Post Business Seminar’ was organised under the chairmanship of Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle Dr Santosh Kumar Kamila here on Friday on the eve of the Business Development Day.
Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey graced as chief guest and felicitated Jagatsinghpur HO Postmaster Sanghamitra Mohapatra with the Meghdoot Award 2018 from Odisha circle for putting in her hard work and relentless effort towards betterment of service of the Department of Post.
She is the second awardee from the State since inception of the top award by the Department of Posts. Six Dak Seva Awardees were also honoured by the guests including Assistant Director (BD/Mails) Debi Prasad Dash for his outstanding contribution to the Department of Posts.
Other awardees in various categories were Berhampur South Sub div IP Swagatika Palo, RO Sambalpur System Administrator Jitendra Sahu, Cuttack City division PA/System Administrator Soujanya Prakash Das, Sahid Nagar MDG Postman Bansidhar Sahoo and Sudarsan SO GDS BPM Urmila Nayak.
On the occasion, Pandey released the Meghdoot Post Card on Small Savings sponsored by the Finance Department. Among others, Postmaster General, Brahmapur Region Col Jaleswar Kanhar and Postmaster General, Sambalpur Region Lalitendu Pradhan were present.
