Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO), Bagalpur Grama Panchayat, Biridi, Jagatsinghpur, Suresh Chandra Moharana was arrested in a bribery case on Thursday.He was demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 2,000 from Babuli Bhoi of Bagalpur, Biridi to submit report for release of last instalment of Rs 30,000 under PMAY housing scheme.
The Vigilance sleuth laid a trap on Thursday and caught Moharana red handed.
His residential house at Narasinghpur, Dedhasara Deuli, Jagatsinghpur and rented house at Jagatsinghpur were searched and a case registered.
