The State Water Resources and I&PR Minister Raghunandan Das on Tuesday inaugurated the Divisional Labour Commission office and district record room buildings in Jagatsinghpur headquarters accompanied by MLA Prasanta Muduli, Collector SK Mohapatra, senior officials of administration and line departments engineers including Labour Department officers.
Speaking at the inaugural occasion, Minister Das said a longstanding demand was fulfilled after the Labour Commission office and district record room office buildings functioned here. The locals were suffering for years due to non-functioning of a permanent record room at the district headquarters. People had been visiting usually Cuttack and Jobra for consolidation land records and seeking old land records.
