The District Bar Association on Monday lodged a complaint with Superintendent of Police against a constable, who had made derogatory comments against lawyers in social media in the backdrop of a lawyers’ agitation spreading across the State.
Reports said that constable Subrata Bhoi on Saturday had posted derogatory comments against lawyers in his Facebook account that had gone viral in social media. Acting on the incident, the District Bar Association noted it seriously and held an urgent meeting on Monday and decided filing a complaint. Pitambar Panda met Jagatsinghpur SP Prakash R and lodged a complaint.
Meanwhile, the SP informed that basing on the complaint an investigation has been launched by a DSP and action would be taken as per law.
