For implementing Watershed Dev, WADI programmes
The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) was conferred with ‘5th CSR Impact Award’ in Environment category for its natural resource management initiatives under the CSR programmes during the India CSR Summit 2018 organised by the NGOBOX in New Delhi on Monday.
Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde presented the award to JSPL Group head (CSR and Education) Prashant Kumar Hota in presence of Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr Satya Pal Singh and OP Jindal Community College director Miriam Carter.
JSPL chairman Naveen Jindal through twitter congratulating the CSR team for the award and said “Such recognitions would motivate us to do better”. JSPL Foundation co-chairperson Shallu Jindal also congratulated the team.
After receiving the award, Hota said that the JSPL has been working for holistic development of the community in and around its operational areas. The JSPL has been awarded for implementation of the Integrated Watershed Development and WADI programmes in Odisha and Chhattisgarh in partnership with Nabard.
