The Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) organised a vaccination programme for senior citizens at its operational area. As many as 143 elderly persons of the peripheral villages of Tensa in Sundargarh district were immunised.
The programme was held at the JSPL’s TRB Iron Ore Mines in association with the district administration. The beneficiaries were above 60 years of age and were administered second dose of the vaccine.
“Since we are living in inaccessible terrains of this hilly region, it becomes extremely difficult for us to reach the distant vaccination centres; thanks to TRB Iron Ore Mines for this support,”said Manu Oram of Bandal village.
Business Head of TRB Iron Ore mines Pramod Patra said, “As community health is our top priority, we want 100% vaccination in all our operational villages.”
