The Jindal Steel and Power ltd (JSPl) was conferred with best CSR practices award for ‘Outstanding CSR Practices in Steel and Power Sector’ here on Tuesday during the Odisha CSR Summit 2016.
On behalf of the JSPl, Executive Vice-President Prashant Kumar Hota received the award from State Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra in the presence of MP Prasanna Patsani and other dignitaries.
The Odisha CSR Summit was organised by Web Channel ‘Odisha live’ and the KIIT School of Rural Management. Odishalive.tv editor Nilambar Rath and KIIT School of Rural Management Director Prof lK Vaswani were present on the occasion.
Receiving the award Hota said, “At the JSPl CSR is embedded with the company’s core activities. The social development projects in the JSPl are driven by the vision of our Chairman Naveen Jindal to make a positive contribution to the underprivileged communities.”
