The CBI on Friday raided the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) administrative building premises on alleged irregularities in capital and harbour dredging.
A three-member CBI team collected some documents from the PPT engineering department, which handles dredging. The team did not reveal anything about their probe to reporters.
However a port official said it was a joint inspection of CBI and PPT vigilance wing for the high-valued cost job. Such inspections are a regular feature being carried out in other Major Ports also.
The engineering, marine and other departments cooperated with the inspection and handed over the copies of documents asked by the CBI team.
