Yet another former Congress leader, Jogesh Singh, is set to join the ruling BJD. The former Sundargarh MLA would be inducted into the BJD on February 6, reports said. He had resigned from the State Assembly on January 22.
Earlier, Singh had sent his resignation letter to AICC president Rahul Gandhi on January 18 after he was suspended by the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee for his alleged anti-party activities. He was suspended after he publicly praised Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik on several occasions. Recently, former Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kishore Das and Bargarh leader Pranay Sahu have resigned from the Congress and joined the BJD.
