The 18th Joda Panchyat Samiti meeting was held at the block conference hall on Wednesday.
Though it is customary for the local MP and MlA to attend such a meeting to acquaint themselves with local problems, MP Sakuntala laguri and MlA Sanatan Mahkud didn’t attend this time, disheartening people.
Issues like health, education, PDS, RWSS and ICDS problems were discussed. Palsa GP Basu Nayak demanded steps for repair of the Government homeopathic clinic located at his GP and appointment of one more doctor in it.
Dagar Munda demanded that the trucks coming to the factories of the Mesco and KN Ram plants located at Gualli gram panchayat be restricted parking on the NH-215 as movement Ambulances is being disrupted. Ambulances carrying patient are taking hours to reach the hospital for the road jam, he argued.
Joda block chairman Kabindra Naik presided over the meeting.Among others, BDO Ghasiram Majhi, Manoj Behera, Reabati Naik , Vice-Chairman Rebati Naik, Bhadrasahi Sarapanch Arjun Sandil and PRI members were present.
