The first meeting of the Joda unit of the BJP, after formation of new district-level committees, was held at Joda on Sunday to chalk out plan for strengthening the party at block level.
Party’s Keonjhar district president Radhakanta Mahanta gracing the occasion as chief guest highlighted about different welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Vima Yojana and Atala Pension Yojana of the Central Government. He advised party workers to inform people about these schemes so that they can get benefits.
He alleged that the State Government is falsely claiming the Central schemes as its own.
It was resolved to complete formation of different committees and Morchas before July 17, the date fixed for district committee meeting to be held at Keonjhar.
While Joda town president RK Singh presided over the meeting, former Joda block president Aganu Charan Mahanta delivered the welcome address. The meeting concluded with former BJP Joda town president Ranjit Mahakud giving a vote of thanks.
