A committee of the Union Ministry of labour and Employment headed by Employment Joint Director Om Pal Singh along with Assistant Director Raj Muni visited the Model Career Centre (MCC) at the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH) here from May 25 to 28.
The committee inspected about the utilisation of funds which was sanctioned during the financial year 2015-16 and also verified the existing assets and infrastructures at the MCC. The Joint Director appreciated the efforts and leadership of VRCH Assistant Director (Rehabilitation) Ram Kishor Sharma in procuring the appropriate assets for the MCC by effective utilisation of the funds.
Singh also added that that the MCC-VRCH, Bhubaneswar is the only centre which has given adequate attention for grounding the main agenda of National Career Service (NCS) in the State by organising a series of career talks, group counseling, outreach activities and job fairs.
The VRCH Assistant Director also pledged to devote an all-out effort to organise more such events to cater to the needs of key stakeholders of the NCS.
