Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren on Wednesday ruled out an alliance between his party and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the Parliamentary and Assembly elections in Odisha.
The JMM would contest the elections on its own, Soren reportedly said in Jamshedpur when asked about a possible alliance with the BJD.It may be noted that JMM Odisha unit president Sudam Marandi and his close associate Bhadav Hansda have, meanwhile, joined the BJD and were promptly nominated as the BJD candidates for the Bangiriposi and Saraskana Assembly seats, respectively, in Mayurbhanj district.
