Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu concluded her three-day visit to Mayurbhanj on Sunday. She took part in a series of programmes during her stay here from Friday till Sunday.

While on Friday, Murmu attended a special function organized in the local Sahid Smruti Bhavan to commemorate the former Mayurbhanj Zilla Parishad president and former Baripada Municipality Chairman Ajay Dash on his 6th death anniversary, on Saturday, she participated in a Prajapita Brahmakumari Karyakram here. She herself is a part of that cult.

While Friday’s meeting was attended by a large number of intellectuals of the town and was coordinated by late Ajay Dash’s son Muna Dash, many Brahma Kumaris took part in the Governor’s Saturday programme.

On Sunday, the concluding day of her Mayurbhanj visit, Murmu, as chief guest, addressed a well-attended meeting of the Akhil Bhumandaliya Sarva Siromani Muni Samaj in the local Madhuban ground, where social activist Rajkishore Das and educationist Purna Chandra Bugudei were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

The Governor flew back to Ranchi in the evening on Sunday.
