The project implementation of the recently completed 2400 MW Jindal Power limited (JPl) has emerged as the best performer in a comprehensive study of India’s Power Sector under the aegis of the Ministry of Power and Central Electricity Authority.
The power project which has the capacity to generate 20.47 billion units of electricity for the nation has been recognised as the best for early completion of thermal power projects. JPl’s OP Jindal Super Thermal Power Project Unit-II (600MW) won the Gold Shield and Unit-I (600 MW) won the Silver Shield for 2013-14.
JSPl Chairman Naveen Jindal received the Gold Shield while JSPl MD and Group CEO Ravi Uppal received the Silver Shield from Union Minister of Power, Coal and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal.
