Wonder girl Dipti Sharma (9) of Mangal Bazaar here has been placed in the India Book of Records for binding a cloth around her eyes and typing A to Z in a computer in only 3.54 seconds. By her performance on August 3 this year, she earned this record.
Dipti, who is studying in Standard-III of the My Kids School, Jharsuguda, claims that now she is typing A to Z in 2.9 seconds. In the coming days by hard labour, she is confident to get her name included in the Guinness Book of World Records by writing A to Z in just two seconds.
Dipti’s father Deepak Sharma said his daughter got this success by hard labour. Initially, she learnt typing from school.
Seeing her typing with eyes closed, he encouraged her to type by connecting the keyboard to the mobile phone. He is very proud for Dipti for being placed in the India Book of Records and getting credit for Jharsuguda and the State.
Dipti's teacher and Principal of her school Bikas Kedia exclaimed that many qualities are hidden in a child. “If we can highlight them, many talents like Dipti can come to limelight,” he observed.
Before learning computer, the teacher noticed that Dipti could type all the buttons on the keyboard. Then, the girl was trained to type A to Z in a computer in 40 seconds. Subsequently by her hard labour and dedication, Dipti completed in a record 3.54 seconds and became eligible for inclusion in the India Book of Records, added Kedia.
