Dr Debendra Naik, Surgery Specialist, District Headquarters Hospital, Jharsuguda, was arrested by the Vigilance police for taking bribe of Rs 2,000.
Dr Naik was caught red-handed by Vigilance officers at the hospital while accepting the bribe from one Jatin Saraf Raghunathpalli village in Jharsuguda district as per his previous demand. The doctor had demanded the money from Saraf to conducting hydrocil operation of his nephew, who was admitted at the hospital on February 22.
The bribe amount was recovered from Dr Naik’s pant pocket.
