The State Government suspended Jharsuguda CSO PDM Khosla and ACSO Sandip Kumar Guru for their alleged link with an unscrupulous miller resulting in financial loss to the Government. The Chief Minister M took the action against the officers on recommendations by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Surjya Narayan Patro. Earlier, Senior Accounts Supervisor Chintamani Patra was alsosuspended for receiving fake bank guarantee of Rs 1.5 crore. Meanwhile, the Minister has directed the department to book economicoffence cases against the suspended officers and proprietor of ShriBajrangwali Rice Mill.Sources said action against the unscrupulous officers and the miller was taken after the issue of mismanagement of 53,984.67 qtl paddy 2016-16 Kharif came to the notice of the Government. The district Supply Department also failed to recover 34,575 qtl rice costing around Rs 8.20 crore.
