The Brahmapur town police on Friday arrested former Congress MlA Ramesh Jena’s close-aide Bidhu Bisoyi in connection with the Gandhinagar widow rape case.
Bidhu had been on run for the last one month. Arrested Jena is facing the case as main accused.
Notably, a widow of the Gandinagar area had on May 8 lodged a complaint at the Town police station alleging that Jena had raped her several times since 2013 while Bidhu had watched outside the room on the first day. She had also complained that they had video-graphed sex scenes and were blackmailing her.
Jena had also been taken to the MKCG Medical for medical test once.
