Anticipating his arrest in the backdrop of Thursday’s CBI raid in his house, Baleswar BJD MP Rabindra Kumar Jena on Fridayapproached the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail.
In connection with his alleged involvement in the Seashore Group chit fund scam, a team of CBI officials had raided Jena’s houses in his hometown Baleswar and in New Delhi. Jena in his petition for advance bail claimed that the CBI raids in his houses were politically motivated.
It may be mentioned that Jena had been questioned by the CBI last month in connection with alleged monetary transactions between a company floated by him and the Seashore company.
