The Railway Ministry has accorded for a new train between Kolkata and Chennai conceding to the demand of Baleswar MP RK Jena.
Jena had been pressing for a new train in view of a huge demand for journey to Chennai, mainly for the patients of the district and youths seeking jobs. Finally, the Ministry approved for the Santragachhi -Chennai (22841 /22842) weekly Antyodaya Express.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal informed the running of new train to Jena stating the train would help his constituency people and all others en-route.
“Further, a direct train between Baleswar and Mumbai is pending before the Railway Ministry. Hopefully, that would be addressed soon,” said Jena, thanking the Railway Ministry for the new train.
