The Vigilance police on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids on the residences and office of K Nageswar Senapati, Junior Engineer (JE), Raigad block in Gajapati district, on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
In course of search and inventory, Senapati and his family members were found in possession of assets worth Rs 2.14 crore.
This included, one double-storied building, nine plots, one fly ash brick manufacturing unit, one four-wheeler, two two-wheelers, deposits in different banks, gold and silver ornaments, cash over Rs 60 lakh and household articles. Further investigation was on.
