Former Odisha Congress Chief Minister and former Assam Governor late Janaki Ballav Patnaik’s son Pruthvi Ballav Patnaik is keen to contest Assembly polls as the Congress candidate from the Begunia constituency in Khordha district.
“I am not sure whether the party will give ticket to me. If the party gives me ticket, I will try my best (to win the polls),” he told media on Tuesday.
Pruthvi Ballav, who stayed away from politics during all these days, would make his debut in electoral politics if the Congress selects him as a candidate in the coming polls.
Notably, JB Patnaik had represented the Begunia constituency twice in his five-decade-long political career.
