The most probable alternative to prevent the attack of corona virus is use facemask, regular hand wash, sanitisation and social distancing, said Capital Hospital Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Senior Consultant Dr Gurudutta Dash at a meeting here organised by the Jayadev Walker Club on Wednesday to mark the World Health Day.

“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The fourth dimension should be spiritual wellbeing,” Dr Dash said. Club president Dr Sundara Narayana Patro highlighted the significance of the day and the pivotal role played by the World Health Organisation (WHO) from time to time in containing various kinds of communicable and non-communicable diseases.

He mentioned that the theme of the day this year is ‘Building a Fairer and Healthier World’; and the Sustainable Goal-3 has already enshrined that ‘Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All at All Ages’.

Club vice-president Suresh Chandra Pati proposed a vote of thanks. Sunil Kumar Rath was inducted as a new member of the club.
