Bhaktakabi Jayadev Sanskrutika Parishad here organised a national seminar, Jayadev lahri Rasamruta-2014 on Wednesday to mark the birth anniversary of saint poet Jayadev, writer of the Sanskrit Gita Gobinda.
On the occasion, Er Naren Chandra Dash was felicitated with the Jayadev Samman while Prof Sarada Samantray was awarded with the Padmabati Samman. The event, headed by Parishad chairman Dr Dinabandhu Maharana, described the strong bond between Jayadev and Shree Jagannath. Eminent personalities including Justice Basudev Panigrahi, Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapith, Tirupati Harekrishna Satpathy and Vice-Chancellor of the Shree Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Puri Gangadhar Panda, among others, joined the programme.
