concepts of “Jandhan”, “Vandhan” and “Jaldhan” are not new to India. These three things are correlated.
Jandhan means human resources. The human resources cannot grow unless the life bound systems like Vandhan and Jaldhan are adequately made available for the existence of man. There must be progressive thoughts for better management of Jandhan.
Man is a part of the biodiversity in a given biosphere. Unless the biosphere remains healthy and scientific, the habitat not only of man, but also of every living being will be polluted. Similarly, if man does not remain healthy and sound, no progress on any front can be expected.
Every individual in a society should be healthy and sound. Sound body and mind can only be expected if adequate hygienic food and environment are made available to man for continuing his biological process. At present, the Indians are the bank of human resources of the globe, where the technological brains are available for world market. So, proper health management and proper education and training, including building of excellent individual personality, are to be created to suit the world market in India.
Human resource management is not adequate and proper at present in India. Most of the technical and common educational institutions are privatized and the education they offer is costly. The Government of India should brood over the matter, although the education is a State subject. It is but natural that the respective State Government can adequately manage all types of technical institutions of its State, which will give easy access to common students of society. The Government of India should take adequate responsibility for better and scientific management of health, education and development of individual personality which can easily and efficiently be marketed for better benefits to the persons concerned and to the nation as a whole.
The private technological institutions are fleecing the students. It is obvious that a doctor or engineer or any kind of technocrat does not alone be benefiting his family or his parents after being employed in any corner of the globe. The whole globe, including his county, gets benefitted out of him/her. So the Government should take adequate care of these people to make India a better technological market for the entire globe and for its own need.
Every peasant or agriculturist should have better and efficient agricultural skills. The agronomy should not be confined to a few; it should be well conveyed to every kind of crop grower. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very correct to say that we should better manage the Jandhan.
Again he has also given importance to the Vandhan concept. Vandhan means the ecological resources. The ecology means the climate of the country. Now the climate management becomes a prime factor. Due to severe loss of ecological wealth, the general climate is hostile, which creates hazardous environmental situations. Every moment the global temperature is rising, which is very harmful to the warm blooded animals like man. Now, climate management is a key factor. The protection of ‘Van’ means the protection of forests or the whole biosphere. The whole biosphere is not created within a day or within a few years; it is the gift of nature which is created through evolutionary process of thousands of years. For sustenance of rich heritage, both ecology and bio-diversities are to be managed in a scientific way. The ecological climate is the real and true climate of a country.
April 7 is observed as the World Health Day. Without restoration of ecology, the health of the human beings cannot be ensured. Similarly, April 18 is observed as the World Heritage Day and April 22 as Earth Day. Without ecology, the heritage of a country cannot be expected. Again the existence of globe cannot be certain, without sound ecology.
Now the Forestry Sector Development Project, Phase II, is going to be implemented in Odisha with the financial assistance of the Japanese Government. The Phase I has already been completed successfully, where the development of ecology and economy of the forest dwellers and dependants were of prime concern. large scale plantations right from seashore to hill peaks is a need of the hour. A friend country of India like Japan is supporting our causes for revival of endemic ecology and economy; which is a part of Buddhism culture.
These days the atmospheric temperature is growing up rapidly due loss of ecology. Forest fire is another problem. The Japanese Government is also providing friendly economic assistance for fire protection measures to save our endemic ecology. We should be very honest before our friend.
Further, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid importance on “Jaldhan”. The Jaldhan means water resource. The wealth of water is highly important for the existence of civilizations and the ecology in general. The man itself is a part of the ecological system and biosphere. The biosphere cannot exist without water and at the same time, the water resources cannot be possible for the living world unless there is biomass. Hence, scientific management of biomass is required for proper and scientific management of water resources of the country.
All the water bodies and systems have originated from hills and mountain ranges. Every hill and mountain is a source of water and an ecological complex. Hence the catchment areas of every waterfalls and river system should be scientifically managed for perennial supply of water. At present most of the hills and mountains are denuded; so the scarcity of water is acute.
