With an aim of forming a strong political alternative, the Odisha Jana Sammukhya (OJS) held an emergency meeting under the leadership of its chairman Ajeya Rout at its head office here on Monday.
The OJS decided to appraise common people about its political and economic agenda for the State through public meetings at various places across the State. Besides, the Sammukhya also aims at creating public awareness against the “anti-development” policies of the State Government which have paralysed the economic and social scenario of the State.
It was decided that the OJS-allied parties would take part in the ensuing urban local body (UlB) polls and hold campaign in support of the people-friendly candidates. Among others, OJS convener Dr Jatish Chandra Mohanty, vice-presidents Harish Mohapatra, Prana Krushnadal Behera, Sk Abdul Walli and Gouranga Charan Dalei and general secretaries Prabir Mohanty and Manas Jena attended the meeting.
