Police arrested one Sanjay Bangira (24) on Monday for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl at Sambharapali village in Jajpur district.
Bangira raped the minor girl while she was sleeping in her house. Her father filed an FIR at the Barachana police station, acting on which the police started investigation and later arrested the accused.
On Monday, Bangaria was produced before the Court of the District Judge, from where he was remanded to jail custody as his bail plea was rejected by the judge, said Barachana PS IIC Umakanta Nayak.
