A 29-year-old married woman of village Padi under the Korei police station in Jajpur district was burnt alive on Monday night by her husband and another person.
“Police arrested Sanatan Behera (34), husband of the deceased, and Nilamani
Rout, brother-in-law of Sanatan, on the charge of killing Satyabhama Behera. Police are further investigating the case,” said IIC of
Korei police station Puspalata Rout on Tuesday.
Police seized the
woman’s body and sent it to the local Government hospital for autopsy.
