The long-awaited Kendriya Vidyalaya may be a dream for Jajpur Road people if 10 acres of Government land is not registered in its favour, said Deputy Commissioner KVS, Bhubaneswar while a high-level delegation of the Vyasanagar Nagarika Committee met her on the demand at her Bhubaneswar office. She said the land required must be premium-free and a deed for it should be executed on one-rupee paper. This is the policy of the Central Government, for which the Hinjlikatu, the Chief Minister’s constituency, and Sambalpur, newly sanctioned for Central School, have been stopped, she pointed out.
Meanwhile, the Vyasanagar Nagarika Committee delegation headed by Korai MlA Akash DasNayak has met Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati, School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Secretary Dr Arabinda Padhee and Jajpur Collector Anil Samal. They assured that the last State Cabinet meeting has decided that the Government would give adequate land to a Central School without premium.
Education Secretary Dr Padhee and Jajpur Collector Samal have, however, assured that all hurdles for opening of the school would be removed by this month. The proposed Central School at Jajpur Road has been sanctioned since last one year. Accordingly, eight well-furnished room have been provided at the local NC High School for an early opening of the school. Ten acres of land has already been earmarked at Brahmanidevi for construction of the school.
