Vigilance officials on Tuesday raided several places belonging to Chinmaya Behura, senior clerk at the office of the Deputy Director of Mines in Jajpur, for his allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
As many as five teams of the anti-corruption agency conducted the simultaneous raids at Behura’s office in Kaliapani here, house at Sukinda, in-laws’ house, ancestral home and such other places in the morning. Multiple corruption-related allegations had been levelled against Behura the recent past, sources said.
Till last reports came in, the raids were in progress. The total cost of the assets of Behura has been calculated by the Vigilance at Rs 1.02 crore,
