Many locals alleged about the rampant corruption in rural development works. Some persons also urged the officials to provide them houses. The officials assured them to grant money to build houses under the Government schemes.
Many people were surprised to watch the officials on the cycles. "last month, I had gone to meet the Collector in his office at Jajpur. But I could not meet him. However, I, on Monday, urged him to provide me old age pension at Haripur and the officer directed the BDO in front of me to grant the pension within a month. I hope that the BDO will give me pension soon.”
