Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested ASI Amiya Behera of the Jenapur police station in Jajpur district for accepting bribe of Rs700 from one Arun lena (30) of Kantapatana village to close a criminal case against the latter. ASI Behera had demanded Rs1,000 from lenka to close the case, following which lenka approached the Vigilance officials, who later laid a trap. lenka had paid Rs300 to Behera last week and promised to give rest Rs700 on Tuesday. The vigilance officials caught the ASI red-handed.
