After five days of incarceration, Jajpur district unit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Satyabrata Prusty, who had been ‘illegally’ arrested by Jajpur Road police on November 11, was released on bail on Thursday.
Prusty demanded immediate suspension and stringent action against the three police personnel of the said police station including Rajendra Swain, Bidyadhar Palei and Shantanu Rout for torturing him and his team mate Uday Dhal at the police lock-up while they had been to there to lodge an FIR.
“I demand immediate and impartial investigation into the matter.
Besides, the cases registered against me by the police must be withdrawn forthwith,” Prusty told reporters here.
