DGP Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma again called Odisha Bhumihina Praja Samiti State president Er Debashisha Hota to the State Police Headquarters at Cuttack and discussed with him on his threat of Jail Bharo stir on Thursday at Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district.
Hota alleged close aides of Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick had unleashed a reign of terror and attacked an activist several times. He demanded action against both.
DGP Sharma assured of strong action against Kamakhyanagar SDPO Saikh Abdul Karim for not arresting the hooligans and advised Er Hota to organise his Jail Bharo stir peacefully.
On Tuesday Dhenkanal SP Basanta Kumar Panigrahi also had called Hota to have a discussion over the matter.
According to sources, the Samiti is making continuous demonstrations at Kamakhyanagar,
Dhenkanal and Bhubaneswar for last 10 months for execution of High Court’s decision to evict the BJD District Youth president Jashobanta Parida from occupation of the 2.70 acre land belonging to the Soil Conservation Department in Kamakhyanagar.
This has enraged Minister Mallick and Parida for plotting a series of murderous attack on the Samiti activists, Hota alleged.
