The five-day long Zilla Mahotsav, Kallolo, concluded with the beating of drums and sounds of crackers at the Collector office parade ground here on Tuesday.
Attending as chief guest, Excise Minister Damodar Rout said Kallolo is a right platform to study the development of the district and also to promote the district’s art and culture. Political leaders cutting across the party lines should come together for development of the district, he added.
MlAs Rajashree Mallick and Chiranjib Biswal, MP Kulamani Samal, journalist Arun Panda, ZP President DD Mohanty and district Collector BK Upadhaya were present.
A souvenir Adi Patra was unveiled at the valedictory session. Personalities from the fields of art, music, culture, sports and literature were felicitated on the occasion. Thousands of locals were present.
