The weeklong book fair organised by the Jagatsinghpur Sanskrutika Parishad and held at the Collector office parade ground here ended on Monday.
At the valedictory function, Professor Jagannath Das and senior journalist Pradyumna Satpathy attended the event as guests. Former Parishad vice-president Mahendra Acharya chaired the meeting and scribe Pradipta Keshori Choudhury read the inaugural speech and Bhagaban Das proposed a vote of thanks. A religious book Prabhu Jagannath compiled by scribe Benudhar Nayak was released by the guests in the closing event. About 70 book stalls were put up in this year’s book fair, and the book sellers, publishers, printers and authors had brisk business, said Parishad office-bearer Sudhir Mohanty.
