The Mayurbhanj district unit of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch organised a programme of mass burning of Chinese goods here on Sunday.
Before setting on fire different Chinese articles and goods near the district Collectorate in the evening, Manch workers took out a colourful procession throughout the town.
They raised slogans like “China Hatao, Desh Bachao”, “Videshi Hatao, Swadeshi Apnao”, “Give up Chinese goods, work for India’s good”.
The agitators were led by Swadeshi Jagaran Manch coordinator Nirmal Prakash Jena, VHP leaders Divakar Tripathy and Haripad Kalia, district BJP president Dr Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and general secretary laxmidhar Hawda and several RSS leaders.
Many women leaders drawn from all over the district also took part in the agitation.
