The Jagannath Daru Sagadi on Monday night reached the Sai temple at Tankapani road here. The Sagadi would start its journey to the ultimate destination of Puri on Tuesday afternoon. The Sagadi had resumed its journey from Pandara on the outskirts of the city in afternoon amid tight police security and “Jai Jagannath” slogans of thousands of devotees.
On Sunday night, the holy wood had made night halt at Pandara after beginning its journey Pratapnagari in Cuttack. Braving the hot and humid weather, hundreds of devotees gathered at Pandara to worship and have a glimpse of the Daru.
