A couple of months after photos of the interiors and deities in the Shreemandir had gone viral on social media triggering resentment among the Jagannath devotees, the pictures of lord Jagannath and his siblings were again found posted on a Facebook account.
A person identified as Sanket Mishra uploaded the pictures of the deities. However, soon after the matter came to light, the posts were found deleted from the social media account. The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has launched an investigation into the incidence.
SJTA Public Relations Officer (PRO) laxmi Narayan Pujapanda said that the photos uploaded on Facebook were taken from the Adapa Mandap of the Shree Gundicha Temple and not the Shreemandir. But after the probe, appropriate action would be taken against the guilty, he added.
