Jharsuguda District Bar Association members on Thursday locked the tehsil office for two hours and squatted before it, alleging negligence in duty by the staff members of the office.
On the occasion, Jharsuguda District Bar Association president Trinath Gual said that people are not getting caste certificates, misc cases, sale and purchase deed of land in the schedule time period. The Tehsildar and staff are not doing their duties properly for which general public are facing much difficulties, they alleged.
The district Collector will be requested to take necessary action in the matter, said Gual .If the officers and staff of Tehsil do not amend their attitude while discharging their duties, the agitation will be intensified in the coming days, the agitators warned.
