Members of the Jharsuguda District Journalists’ Association led by Nalendra Kumar Ganjendra on Saturday sent a memorandum to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through DRDA PD Tapiram Majhi seeking stringent action against SPs of Kendrapada and Sambalpur for assaulting working journalists recently.
In the memorandum, the members have expressed strong resentments over the manhandling of TV reporters at Patkura in Kendrapada district and at Dhanupali, Sambalpur. They have urged the Government to take exemplary action against the concerned police officers and ensure security to working journalists.
