The oath-taking ceremony of new office-bearers of the Jharsuguda Press Club (JPC) was held here on Monday which Jharsuguda SP Aswini Mohanty and 2nd Battalion Commandant MD Zaheed attended as guests.
Chief speaker Prof Tapan Barik said as self-centered persons are creating obstructions for collective development, integrated efforts are necessary for balanced development of economic, cultural and social systems, leaving behind all these negative forces.
JPC president Jeeban Mohanty and other office-bearers were administered the oath by founder president Gangadhar Gandnayak.
JPC advisor Raj Kumar Sharma said the JPC set up in 2006 plays a major role in the district and sought everyone's support and cooperation for the development of the club.
Among others, Sanjay Lodha, JPC working president Pyarelal Srivastav, general secretary Ritesh Sharma and Prasant Mohanty were present.
