Taking disciplinary action, the State Government on Tuesday placed Jharsuguda Municipality Executive Officer (EO) Rama Chandra Pradhan under suspension with immediate effect.
The disciplinary proceeding against Pradhan was contemplated for disobedience of Government orders, poor governance, nonperformance, non-attainment of targets, dereliction in duty, deliberate attempt not to implement Government orders and low performance in implementation of developmental works. “During the period of suspension, the headquarters of Pradhan shall be the office of Sambalpur Municipal Commissioner and he shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the competent authority,” stated suspension order. Pradhan would be entitled to the payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule-90 of Odisha Service Code, the order added.
