Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday expressed his heartfelt greetings on the joyous and most auspicious day of Rath Yatra and said the car festival is an embodiment of the philosophy Vasudheiva Kutumbakam.
“The car festival is an embodiment of the philosophy ‘Vasudheiva Kutumbakam’. On this day lord Jagannath comes to mingle with his devotees. Rath Yatra transcends boundaries of race religion, colour, caste and creed as lakhs from across the world, belonging to different faiths and beliefs converge in Puri to pull the chariots in an unparalleled show of unity in diversity,” posted Patnaik in his Facebook page.
Seeking blessings of the lord Patnaik also posted, “Religious harmony, peaceful co-existence and equality among humanity is the essence of Jagannath culture. May lord Jagannath’s blessings strengthen bonds and bring progress and prosperity for all.”
